Reiki — or Universal Life Energy — is a Japanese healing practice that restores balance to the body, mind, and spirit. Through gentle, hands-on light touch, Reiki channels energy to support your body’s natural healing processes, helps release what is no longer serving you, and bring your system back into its natural rhythm. When energy is blocked, it often shows up as tightness, anxiety, depression, irritability, fogginess, physical pain, or a feeling of being untethered.

Reiki meets those places with warmth and rootedness, so the body can finally exhale. It helps calm your nervous system, reduce stress and anxiety, support trauma recovery, promote emotional and mental clarity, and reconnect you to yourself.

As both a therapist and Reiki practitioner, I hold a holistic view of healing — we are not only our thoughts; we are body, breath, memory, spirit, and energy. I integrate Reiki with somatic awareness, nervous system regulation, and trauma-informed counseling. This allows us to work on two levels at once: speaking your story and tending to what lives beneath the words. Reiki can soften the body enough for deeper therapeutic work, while therapy can help you integrate energetic shifts into lasting change.

For seasons when ongoing therapy isn’t possible, Reiki offers a meaningful reset for the body, mind, spirit, and nervous system.

Reiki as Ritual + Reset

Reiki Therapy is a beautiful offering when you are craving support but don’t have the capacity (time, bandwidth or finances) for weekly therapy. One session can become a ritual — an hour to step out of the rush and re-enter your life more resourced, more rooted, and more aligned with your authentic self. 

Reiki Therapy is also the perfect way to mark thresholds in your life — birthdays, anniversaries, new or full moons, the changing of the seasons, amidst a big change or transition such as birth, death, major milestones, divorce — any threshold you want to honor, celebrate, or release. Energy work (paired with processing and integration) allows your body and spirit to move through these in-between seasons with intention, softening and meaning making so that you may move forward feeling balanced, grounded and ready for what’s next.

Reiki + Trauma

Reiki can support the release of trauma held in the body — the places that talk therapy alone cannot always reach. When the intention is to work with trauma, Reiki is not a stand-alone treatment; it must be paired with talk therapy and held over multiple sessions (or alongside other trauma support) so that what is released can be integrated safely and sustainably.

Reiki + Motherhood

Reiki offers a gentle companion through every season of motherhood — a place to receive support through fertility journeys, to prepare for birth, to nourish during postpartum, to process birth stories, to heal after loss, and to be held in the sacred transition of becoming a mother.  

It is a deeply relaxing space for you — time when you aren't needed by anyone, a place to exhale and be held instead of holding, to let your nervous system release and your heart soften.
